Plug A Day – Red Tiger’s Eye Stone Plugs

Today’s main focal piece are these red tiger’s eye double flared stone plugs, these are similar to tiger’s eye which is a yellow/orange/brown coloured stone that shimmers with a kind of holographic feel as it is moved in the light but these have a lot more of a red tint to them, just like normal tiger’s eye these occasionally these have veins of iron that appear as silver streaks.

On both ears I have 3 sets of stretched holes, from the inside out these are 0G (8mm), 2G (6mm) and 4G (5mm). When I wear wood, stone, glass or other organics in my 0G (8mm) first hole I tend to wear simple and plain silicone tunnels in the other 2 which you can see in the picture below.

Today’s focal piece are these water buffalo horn hooks, each one has 3 spikes starting with the one that goes through the piercing right down to the downward facing point. This is another of the traditional designs, with similar designs in teak, ebony and buffalo horn.

Plug A Day – Green Moss Agate Stone Plugs

These green moss agate plugs are incredibly interesting, due to the huge amount of natural variation in the source material these are all very different from each other. Although mostly green they do have a lot of other colours, patterns and shapes all locked within their highly polished walls. We may not be able to guarantee an exact match if you order a pair but we can say that they will both be spectacular.

Plug A Day – Horn with White Dots & Abalone Shell

Today’s main focal piece are these water buffalo horn spirals which have white resin dots inlaid in an intricate pattern and also have 2 pieces of abalone shell inlaid. They only come in pairs, left and right, as the pattern is only down one side of each piece. These really grab people’s attention when I wear them probably due to the bold black and white colours used.

Today’s main focal piece are these tiger’s eye double flared stone plugs, tiger’s eye is a yellow/orange/brown coloured stone that shimmers with a kind of holographic feel as it is moved in the light, occasionally these have veins of iron that appear as silver streaks which can make for a beautiful piece aswell as the more plain like I am wearing below. Almost all of my stone plugs are double flared as these are a lot more common than non-flare stone plugs.

Plug A Day – Naodelite

Today’s main focal piece are these naodelite stone plugs. Unless its wood with a grain I am not a big fan of brown plugs, but these naodelite plugs just work with the greys, creams and whites the pattern on them helps make them look really awesome and I love wearing them all the time. The pattern and colours on these tends to vary quite a lot but they all look great.

Plug A Day – Turquoise Stone Plug

Today’s main focal piece is made from howlite that has been dyed a turquoise blue colour, unfortunately real turquoise is very hard to come across these days so finding a pair of plugs that are made from real turquoise is quite a challenge! These however look very similar but have a much more consistent colouring, and are very awesome.
