Plug A Day – Ebony Plug with Agate Inlay

Ebony wood is a really great wood for plugs/spirals and just anything where it is used as jewellery in general. I am really liking inlays at the moment and have been making some large gauge labrets with inlays for both myself and customers recently (I’ll have to start show casing my labret jewellery soon ;) ) and thought that it would be great to wear some plugs with inlays to go with my inlaid labrets. These are made from ebony wood with an agate inlay.

On both ears I have 3 sets of stretched holes, from the inside out these are 0G (8mm), 2G (6mm) and 4G (5mm). When I wear wood, stone, glass or other organics in my 0G (8mm) first hole I tend to wear simple and plain silicone tunnels in the other 2 which you can see in the picture below.Plug A Day - Ebony Wood Plug with Agate InlayEvery piece of jewellery pictured we sell or can get a hold of via custom order so if you see something you like and cannot find it currently for sale on our website get in touch with us!

Plug A Day – Smokey Quartz

Today’s focal piece is interesting because it is made from smokey quartz, because of the way that this material is naturally formed it often has the appearance of cracks and air pockets inside the pieces, but there is no need to panic these are not actual cracks or defects with the item they just appear like this. They are completely smooth all over and refract the light in different ways which can give rainbow shimmer at certain angles (which I was not able to capture with the camera).

Plug A Day – Sardonyx

It is not often that you find orange gemstone, even more rare when it is used for body jewellery. Today’s piece is made from Sardonyx, a member of the onyx family of gemstones but itself not un-similar to many agates. Almost all of the pieces we have are banded, orange with white stripes, some have other colours in the mix and the thickness of the banding does vary but they are all lovely pieces.

Plug A Day – Green Moss Agate Stone Plugs

These green moss agate plugs are incredibly interesting, due to the huge amount of natural variation in the source material these are all very different from each other. Although mostly green they do have a lot of other colours, patterns and shapes all locked within their highly polished walls. We may not be able to guarantee an exact match if you order a pair but we can say that they will both be spectacular.

Plug A Day – Teak Wood Plugs

Today’s main focal piece are these teak wood plugs, as you can see in the picture these have a grain on the end which gives this striking banding effect between the deep yellow and oranges. Uber comfortable to wear and wood is great this time of year to help keep lobes warm and happy.
